With its rounded back and elegant profile, the Yaselam is instantly recognisable as one of the finest traditional boats sailing out of Bodrum. It was built locally to the highest standards in 1995 under the supervision of Captain Mahmut, who is also the owner. Mahmut comes from one of Bodrum’s best known seafaring families – his father and his brother are also captains – and each year he has invested heavily in the boat, constantly upgrading the facilities to ensure that it remains one of Bodrum’s best gulets.
